Grade 316L, a lower carbon version of 316, has very high resistance to sensitization (precipitation of carbides at grain boundaries). The corrosion resistance of stainless 316L tube in acid, alkali, salt and other corrosive media is 2-3 times that of other stainless steel tubes.
